Sailing provides a unqiue life expereince - conquering the sea requires extraordinary perseverence,prowess and endeavour of the sailor. Guo Chuan will share with us how he fell in love with the sea and the sailing boat as well as his debut in the Volvo Ocean Race.

Guo Chuan is  the captain of the Qingdao boat and the first Chinese sailor competing in the 2008 -2009 Volvo Ocean Race, during which he sailed 37,000 sea miles in 10 months. He just completed a training session in France and returned to China to prepare for the mini-transat  trans - Atlantic race  to be held in October 2011.

Driving Directions: From the Dajiaoting Bridge on the Fourth Ring Road, drive east along Guangqu Road, past three traffic lights (about 1,700 meters far). Keep going straight ahead, and then turn around to the west before reach an overhead road. After driving 200 meters to the west, you will see the Image Base on the northern side of the road. Enter the Image Base, go straight north, turn to the left at the second intersection, and turn to the left again till you reach the end. Dandeli Art Space is located at the building with a green square flag.

 
Bus Lines: Take Bus No.11 at the southeast of Guomao and get off at Xiaohaizi, you will see the Image Base across the street to your right.
