Dandeli Is In Mourning for the Earthquake Victims

 

May 19th to 21st, 2008 is the national mourning period for China and we salute those who sacrificed their lives to rescue earthquake victims and mourn those who lost their lives and lives of family members.  If there is anything that mother nature hopes to teach us, it is that we must respect nature and appreciate the love and care surrounding us. 

 

Love Awaits Us at the End of Grieving
 

A massive earthquake struck Wenchuan County, Sichuan Province, China on May 12 and left over 30 thousand people dead, hundreds of thousands of people injured and millions of homes destroyed. This has left the whole nation in a state of deep sorrow.
 

We were left speechless with the overwhelming sense of despair, but still believe in the power of the arts. Dandeli Gallery and our artists, Madame Zhao Xiuhuan,Ma Shuyao, and Mr. Liu Daguang want to express our sincere sympathy and condolences on the earthquake through art. Dandeli and its artists will donate half of the quarter’s revenue of their first sold artwork towards the relief efforts.
 

Dandeli is praying for the victims, and is prepared to contribute more to the people in need.
 

Dandeli believes love will comfort the traumatized survivors, lift us beyond death and help us to overcome the unexpected.
